I've been saying for years that the adding of blades to razors is getting out of control. Now, the Economist even shows that the
time evolution of blade number follows a hyperbolic funtion. Thus inside of ten years we will have a fourteen-blade razor.

The notion that blade number would actually diverge within a few years is probably the funniest thing I've seen in The Economist. (To be honest, I hadn't realized that they had any real sense of humor... and a geeky one at that.)
But now it's gotten me thinking: What would an infinite number of blades mean? There's no joke so good that it can't be ruined by overanalysis, so have at it. My guess is something to do with high-powered cutting lasers.
