Expect me to stay clear of the comments until I return from LA (see above).

I thought this was a pretty good episode. I was actually kind of sad to see Rob & Amber actually make the first plane; I was hoping that not doing the previous roadblock would come back to haunt them, but they have been really lucky. At some point, it's got to run out, right?
And while this episode was good, the previews were the most interesting part. A bloody grandmother? A car wreck? Last one to the mat is a goner (literally).
Yeah, a decent, if not great, episode. The horseriding roadblock was nice for local color, but I would have liked to have seen something a little more involved. I'm also a little fuzzy on how the timing worked out on the whole thing. If you consider the time difference between the start times for Rob & Amber and Lynn & Alex, it seems like there must have been some significant time bleeding for the latter pair in getting to the horse farm. Likewise, I'd guess some sort of delay on the flight leaving the airport, which is certainly not unprecidented.
I guess it's a function of where they've been travelling, but it seems like there's been a pretty huge uptick in the amount of driving by the contestants this season. Last season, the only driving part that springs to mind is when they had to deal with those odd little Hungarian (?) cars. Possible serious accidents aside, I'm liking the change; anything where the racers have to rely on their own navigational skill rather than those of today's random cab driver is a plus, race-wise.
Wow on the previews. I'm guessing it's 2 hours b/c they couldn't fit it all in.
Off course, it will probably be a non-death, er, non-elimination leg.
Interesting that they forced teams to search by a double-search detour. I think the ship might have been easier, unless you're good at mapreading; therefore, it was a well-chosen detour.
And at least the roadblock allowed the possibility of not being fast enough, unlike, say, the soapbox racing in Berlin.
Old folks need to go b/c they can't race and I'm ready to slap Gretchen for her whining. Ray & Deana annoyed me this leg too; I was hoping they would lose to the old people. And I'm all for slapping Lynn & Alex till they shut up, but at least they seem to be racing well, so they haven't made the Shit List. Yet.
