The Amazing Race 6--"Tell My Mom I Love Her!"

"And that I'm a giant pansy!"

This season is quickly becoming my least favorite, by a large margin. But I'm holding out hope that a swift elimination of Jonathan (and Victoria, I guess) can salvage the last few legs.

In other news, it looks like TAR1 might be coming out on DVD sometime this year.

Twenty minutes away from TAR not being sucky.

At least, that's what I'm sitting here telling myself...

Or I could be an hour off. Damn Eastern time.

Well that was much better. Napoleon guy was cool, a reasonable FF task, and although we've seen wall ascending before, it was cool to see Kris kick Bolo's ass.

I have no idea how Jonathan managed to screw up grape stomping. Or, why he did it, since it's the perfect roadblock task for your physically weaker partner. Oh wait, he is the weaker partner.

Unfortunately, if Kris and Jon don't win, it will be a disappointment. In decreasing order of disgust:

--Jonathan deserves to not only lose, but be castrated and have his vocal cords removed
--Still hating Kendra over the "breeding" comment
--Hayden: total bitch. Aaron's right, "I'm sorry" doesn't cut it any more
--Lori and Bolo: dumb as posts
--Adam and Rebecca: drama queens.

I'm going to follow your lead here, and list my impression of the teams in order of decreasing similarity to Jonathan and Victoria:

1) J & V. HATE. The only truly disappointing outcome is a J & V win.

2) Adam and Rebecca. When she's not telling him she doesn't love him and he's not threatening to hang himself, I think they're my second-favorite. Unforunately, every other episode, they go through this tiresome breakup routine.

3) Freddy and Kendra. Aside from a few really, really awful comments, they've been OK. And I give Freddy a pass on the Gategate thing.

4) Hayden and Aaron. If she keeps this up, though, they're moving farther up.

5) Lori and Bolo. They're not great, but they're improving as Racers.

6) Jon and Kris. I like them, but I wonder how much of it is that I like them relative to the others in this, the worst of all seasons. That said, the only truly satisfying outcome is a Jon & Kris win.

Of course, it should be noted that the gap between 1 and 2 is huge, as is the gap between 5 and 6. The other gaps aren't so large. I'm pretty meh on the middle four teams.
