This guy took a vacation through the South to find out.
I found this fascinating because I'm in a nice, sheltered academic environment where anyone voting for Bush II is clearly insane. :)

A tale of a man and his hats.

Obviously the following people are voting for Bush:
1. Rich, greedy people.
2. Right-wing religious nuts.
3. Uneducated people who own guns.
4. People who vote Republican no matter what.
That makes up...oh, about 45-55% of our populations. Sounds about right.
Being a fairly religious person, what bothers me is that Bush's anti-abortion status seems to trump every other issue for "religious" people.
He is an obvious liar, possibly as scheemer, not interested in justice, a war monger, un merciful, unconcerned about the plight of the poor...I could go on.
And yet since he's pro-life that makes everything o.k. All the other junk he does can just get swept aside and he is a "Champion of moral America"
Just to be clear, I'm not saying Kerry is any better, he may be worse, the thing I don't like is the unwillingness of some folks to see Bush for what he is.
I don't know who you are, cowboy, but let me say this: no way in heck is John Kerry worse than George Bush. Just being a Democrat makes that virtually impossible. :-P
That said, I am a little disappointed that Kerry was all that the Democrats could come up with this year. Yet another reason why I am registered as an independent.

Shane,
I guess you are right, Bush is probably worse then Kerry. I guess I don't want to make Kerry out to be some kind of saint either.

Kerry is GOD, man. GOD!! WORSHIP HIM, YOU FOOL! LEST YOU SURELY PERISH!!!!
Or not.
I have an Iranian student that I tutor in English. I try not to sway his opinion, though I really, really don't like Bush. Sometimes Kerry makes it easy to sound objective. He used to be so naively pro-American. He is currently a little frustrated with the way the system is working. I told him to join the club. ;-)
That said, a former Iranian is always a nice reminder of how much better we have it than most people. Bush has not tried to kill me yet, inspite of my constant public berating of his character and physical and mental similarities to the baboon. I tell my student that the people have the power here... too bad they are so stupid and lazy.

I think people traded up power for their TV sets.
